The conference, Contemporary Dance Didactics: Explorations in Theory and Practice, will include papers, lecture demonstrations, round table discussions and workshops.


Paper presentation at DOCH in Stockholm  the other day:

«Artistic contingencies from different movement didactics
This paper presentation will discuss, when a variety of pedagogical methods are emphasized upon, from the beginning of the education, new perspectives that effects the definition of the profession´s semiotics, including a continuous improvement of the pedagogue’s language and approaches, will possibly appear.

Further this most relevant would lead to, a curiousity and search for ´other´ movement nuances than the traditional, in the artistic landscape, to evolve, as a qualitative outcome.

The art sector, that ´dance´ belongs to, already adapts new academic and artistic approaches, also due to the economical shifts in the world.

How will applying new approaches to early movement education, possibly effect the movement itself, in theory and on stage, and thus the language presenting it?»
